GP Fees

We don’t think its fair for patients to pay over $90 ($52+ gap after Medicare rebate) in the CBD for simple issues that only take a few minutes to sort out.

Our fees are based on the time actually spent with the doctor. As a result our average gap fee is less than half the Melbourne CBD average.

We will take the time to properly deal with the issue at hand - it takes as long as it takes, but we don't allocate longer than needed and charge the patient for it. If the problem is sorted, its sorted.

We make this work by carefully allocating an appropriate time to each patient appointment with our booking system.

All patients without a Medicare card are billed $81.

For Medicare card holders:

The First 5 Mins are Bulk-Billed:

5 min appointments are suitable for ...

  1. Scripts
  2. De-sensitisation injections
  3. Flu/Repeat Hepatitis B/Whooping Cough Vaccinations (Travel Vaccination appointments typically take longer)
  4. Repeat referrals
  5. Repeat wart treatment
  6. Urine Infections
  7. Simple cough/cold

Note: The billing is determined by the time spent with the Dr, not on the length of the appointment booked.

After 5 Mins: $3 gap fee per minute spent with the Dr

After 5 minutes the fees become ...

  •  5:00-5:59 (mins:secs) = $3 gap fee ($40.60 paid with $37.60 back from Medicare)
  •  6:00-6:59 (mins:secs) = $6 gap fee ($43.60 paid with $37.60 back from Medicare)
