Telehealth - Telephone consultations with your doctor

How Telehealth appointments work:

  • make a Telehealth appointment by calling the clinic during office hours (appts can not be made via the website)

  • prepay for your appointment during that call

  • our doctor will call you at (approximately) your appointment time. The call may be a little earlier or later than your appointment time.

  • if a pharmacy prescription is required, an eScript will be emailed to you, so ensure you supply your email address.

Telehealth appointments though convenient, are only intended for a very limited range of situations. In order to qualify for the Medicare rebate for a Telehealth appointment, patients need to satisfy all of the following 3 conditions:

  1. You need to hold a current Medicare card and

  2. Existing patients of the clinic

  3. Have seen our doctor face-to-face in the previous 12 months

Most medical issues require a in-clinic appointment. We limit Telehealth consultations to the following:

  • Simple repeat scripts of existing medication (any new prescriptions like antibiotics require an In-Clinic, Standard appointment)

  • Simple medical certificate (more complex certificates like Work Cover/TAB/insurance/university require an In-Clinic Standard appointment)

  • To obtain a copy of investigations previously requested at this clinic (eg pathology/blood results)
